Kailua-Kona to South Point: how long is the drive?
What this drive is
Kailua-Kona is the dry west-side town most visitors use as a base, and it stretches south through Keauhou, Hōlualoa, Kealakekua and Captain Cook.
South Point (Ka Lae) is the southernmost tip of the United States, out past Nāʻālehu and Ocean View in the Kaʻū district.
About 1.5 hours to the South Point Road junction, then roughly 18 more minutes down South Point Road to Ka Lae.
